Our Story
Why Shrivaa exists.
We grew up with hing (asafoetida) that had a story — a piece of dark, fragrant resin that made the whole kitchen smell alive. Then one day we realised that what most people buy today isn't that at all.
So we went back to the source. To the farmers, the raw hing (asafoetida), the old methods. Shrivaa exists to bring that authenticity back to every Indian kitchen — and to be completely honest about what's inside every jar.
Most hing on the market is 90% filler — wheat flour, maida, chalk. Shrivaa contains 100% pure hing with only a natural plant-based binder. No compromise, no shortcuts.
Our values
Direct Sourced
We work directly with high-altitude mountain farms where hing (asafoetida) grows naturally — no middlemen between source and jar.
Nothing Hidden
No wheat flour, no maida, no chalk, no clay, no starch. The ingredient list on every Shrivaa jar is exactly what it says.
Small Batch
Every batch is made in small quantities so quality is never compromised for volume. When a batch is gone, it's gone.
Indian Heritage
Hing has been used in Indian cooking for over 2,000 years. We exist to protect that tradition, not dilute it.
"Pure hing doesn't just taste different. It remembers something. A 2,000-year tradition — and we chose to bring it back."
